I should explain what's happening here. When I go out to talk in the high schools to math students, and particularly if I am giving my talk on the mathematics of sound manipulation, I will frequently start by putting on my shades, picking up my guitar, and singing my version of George Thorogood's "Bad to the Bone", entitled "Math to the Bone". It's a ploy on my part to get their attention and convince them that this is not a boring math talk.

When I spoke at the Bridges Conference in San Sebastian, Spain on using music to teach trigonometry, I opened my talk with "Math to the Bone", and then later used the guitar in my talk. Dirk wanted to show the song to a colleague, so agreed to send him a movie of me singing the song. That is what you see here, from my office at Western Kentucky University.

As you can tell, my guitar-playing and singing is only so-so. I hope I am a better mathematician.
